Another standing ovation for Charice Pempengco yesterday in Oprah Winfrey Show  as part of Oprah Presents: World’s Most Talented Kids episode.

      Charice Pempengco, who is better known as Charice, became an international singing sensation through Youtube. The 15 year old diva  is from the Philippines who started her singing career by joining singing contests at the tender age of 7.  She became widely known in the Philippines when she joined the ABS-CBN’s Little Big Star, where she placed 3rd. A Youtuber named Falsevoice fell in love with Charice’s talent while she was still a contestant of the Little Big Star. He posted her video in Youtube which began Charice’s international stardom.

      Charice recorded songs in Sweden and guested in one of South Korea’s most popular show Star King. She astounded the Star King judges and the audience. Through that show, which was also uploaded in  Youtube , Charice became more popular. Ellen Degeneres saw her Star King video in Youtube and invited her to come to her show.

      Charice visited the Ellen Show last December 19, 2007 and received a standing ovation from the audience. She performed twice in the show with the songs And I Am Telling You and I Will Always Love You.

       Yesterday at the Oprah Winfrey Show, she showcased another jaw-dropping performance by singing the Whitney Houston hit I Have Nothing. This young diva brought the house down. Oprah and the audience were so amazed with her powerful performance. Oprah just shook her head in disbelief while Charice was singing. She couldn’t figure out where the voice was coming from since Charice is so tiny.

        After Charice performed, Oprah hugged her. Charice was teary-eyed while hugging Oprah; she couldn’t believe she was in Oprah Show and hugging the host. Oprah wiped her tears away and oh! They looked so sweet.

     I surely hope Charice will make it big in the United States. She is such a talented kid.
